ABOUT CASPAR FRANCIS
CASPAR FRANCIS is Music Producer, Recording and Mixing Engineering, Composer and Arranger. He is also a freelance professional Bass and Keyboard Sessionist.
His musical journey started when he first took up classical piano lessons at the age of 3. At a young age of 5, he performed in his first piano concert. At age of 13, he joined the St. Andrew's Secondary School military band and Jazz quartet. Caspar was elected as the band major and music director.
After graduating with a Grade 8 Piano - The Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) he soon took up jazz music theory and eventually started to learn the bass guitar.
At Age 16, Caspar enrolled into Singapore Polytechnic, where he took up Diploma in Music and Audio Technology. There he studied music production, recording and mixing techniques as well as arranging and music theory. A year later Caspar started up his own music business and focused on freelance music production.
Over the first two years of his production career Caspar has produced and engineered emerging and established acts such as Chinese pop/rock artists Gilbert and Dominic PICO, World/Fusion Ensemble Andy C. and the New Horizons, Local progressive metal group, Enstrung and local jazz/funk guitarist Warren Estrop. Besides great local performers, Caspar has also produced, composed and engineered music and audio recordings for corporate companies such as Waterbom Bali, ProAge (Health Promotion Board), ConductorciseAsia and Inkque Concepts.
Caspar continues to set and expect high standards for his production of a quality masterpiece and strive for musical excellence.
June 1, 2011 marks the launch of www.casparrecords.com. One of Caspar's mission is to create a platform for our Singapore and Asian artistes to showcase their musical talent; music production and have their songs songcasted and up for sale on online music stores such as ITunes, Amazonmp3, Rapshody, Napster, Spotify, EMusic and MediaNet.
